Award-winning country singer, songwriter, guitarist, actor and television host Glen Campbell recorded the critically-acclaimed album "Ghost on the Canvas" in 2011 soon after receiving a diagnosis of Alzheimer's. "A Better Place," recorded on the album, was a musical autobiography that he wrote together with friend and music producer Julian Raymond. Campbell then set out on a farewell tour, allowing a filmmaker to document his performances and struggles, the day after he released the album. Glen Campbell's battle with Alzheimer's ended on August 8, 2017, six years after his diagnosis.
