  1. My deceased mother had no issue getting in/out of vehicle, but when the car stopped for any reason (red light, stop sign, turning cars), she thought it was time to get out of vehicle. It is important that the dementia patient’s door be locked. Mom successfully opened it on one occasion when the driver forget to lock her door!

  3. how about when there is resistance? my dad's legs work fine. most times he needs to be coaxed to get out the car. otherwise it seems he will stay in the car, on the driveway, for hours.
